Overview
Carmen is a highly experienced Mining Engineer who has worked in the industry since the 1980’s. Her key strengths are strategic planning, optimisation, design, scheduling and project evaluation. She can also develop, mentor and manage large technical teams covering Metallurgy, Geometallurgy, Geotechnical, Hydrogeology, Geology, Mine Engineering, Resource Development, and Risk Management. Project work, including order of magnitude studies, prefeasibility studies, feasibility studies and execution planning are also a focus of her experience portfolio.
She is a Results orientated, experienced General Manager and leader with over 24 years continuous international experience in large scale mining operations and complex technical project roles, providing first class leadership and direction for project and operations management. Expertise and focus on budget and schedule with demonstrated success in achieving stretch targets in both operational and project environments. Core accountabilities include all key mine engineering faculties and associated technical services areas for mining and associated ventures.

Leadership
Successfully built harmonious and focused teams at operating sites and developing projects (up to 200 employees). This includes recruitment, leadership, direction and motivation of diverse technical specialists and multicultural teams. Have demonstrated effective support and engagement of stakeholders and clients in supporting areas of mine operations and maintenance, ore processing, infrastructure, HSEC in both operating mines, mining projects and feasibility studies.

Recent Projects
- Technical Services Manager for junior copper opertaion. Responsible for establishing the technical services team, processes and software to ensure continued success of business.
- Responsible for the valuation and declaration of reserves and development of resources for ASX and SEC listed mining companies
- Team member on two large acquisition and project tollgate audits in the last two years. “Mining Team” lead role adopted in the second of these projects.
